Zero Reflection video
09/06/2007
Here is the BRAND NEW video for "Zero Reflection"! Dave went thru a boat-load of archival footage that was shot by various friends back in 1998. Special thanks go out to Mike Jaworski, Dave Fiedler, Dominic Montalbano and Renée Emanuel.
Epitaph recording update
04/25/2006
I'm happy to say that recording has finally resumed on the Epitaph ~ Exhumed project. Over the past couple of weeks, all rhythm guitar tracks have been completed and I recorded solos for "#3", "War Within", "Only Die Once" and "Paralyzed". I have a couple of little things to do on "#3" and then it will be finished. That leaves a few more solos for me, John's solos, and the rest of the vocals. Overall, the recordings sound HUGE!!! It's great to hear these songs coming together after all these years.

Well, it's a new year and with more than one year since our last post I figure it's about time to update you on a couple of things. The Epitaph project will continue shortly. My decision to relocate to New Jersey last year forced me to put that project on hold for a little while. We still need to finish a few guitar tracks and most of the vocals. More importantly, congratulations to Keith and Robyn on the birth of their son, Nicholas. Clearly the best news of the past year!

Oh no, they're multiplying!
09/07/2004
Just after 1:00am on Saturday, September 4, my wife Lisa woke me up with the following words: "Uh, Jay... I think my water broke". The rest of the weekend was a blur, but when we returned home on Labor Day we weren't alone. We were accompanied by the first official freakling, my son, John Paul Tremper. Once I figure out how to squeeze some sleep into my new "schedule" I'll be back at work finishing up guitar tracks for Epitaph ~ Exhumed.

Epitaph recording update
08/08/2004
Nearly two months have passed since the Epitaph ~ Exhumed project began. At this point, the drum and bass tracks have been completed for all twelve songs. In addition to the bass tracks, Dave laid down his vocals for "#3" and "Damaged Reason" while he was visiting from Florida in the end of June. Jason is currently working on his rhythm guitar parts, with some vocals scheduled to be recorded in about two weeks. That's it for now. More to come soon...
Epitaph... exhumed?
06/08/2004
Finally, some actual news to share! What started out as a simple plan to record some of our old Epitaph tunes (the ones that we never had "quality" recordings of) has turned into plans for a full length album. The CD, tentatively titled "Exhumed", will contain new recordings of every song written by Epitaph, from 1987's "War Within" to 1994's "Damaged Reason". Only rehearsed a couple of times, "Damaged Reason" is the last song ever written by Epitaph, and has never been heard outside the walls of the rehearsal studio. While many of the drum tracks have already been completed, the rest of the recording is scheduled to begin next week. More to come soon...
Sorry for the lack of updates on the site folks! Jay and I have been in constant contact over the past months, but our schedules have been full of alternate priorities...

For the first time in more than a year, Dave and Jason actually got a chance to work on some new material... together!!! On September 27th, Dave flew in from Florida for the weekend to attend a wedding (congrats Paul and Kim), and he was able to get to Jason's house where they spent the night jammin' out tunes and slammin' down brews.

The past few years have been chaotic (to say the least) for the members of Freak Seed. Keith and Jason each got married, Dave and Jay started new careers, and to top it all off Dave and Jason both moved out of New Jersey. Where does this leave the band?
